Comparisons
How to choose, without trusting anyone's table
Every vendor in this category publishes a comparison table where they win every row. This page compares the three underlying approaches instead — which we can describe honestly — and then states plainly what ReachNow does not do.

Why there is no “ReachNow vs.” table on this page
There used to be one. It listed four named competitors, marked them as lacking real-time verification, quoted their monthly prices, and stated that ReachNow produced lower bounce rates than all of them.
We could not support any of that. You cannot observe from the outside how another product verifies an address. Their prices change and ours would go stale. And we have never run a controlled bounce-rate comparison, so that claim was simply invented.
A comparison table you cannot verify is worth nothing to you, whoever wrote it. What follows instead is a comparison of approaches, and an honest list of what ReachNow does not do.
The category
Three approaches, three sets of trade-offs
Most products combine two of these. Knowing which you are buying tells you how it will fail.
Stored database
The provider collected contact records over time and serves you the stored version when you search.
Strong at
- Breadth — you can search for people you have not identified yet
- Speed — a lookup is a database read
- Discovery — filtering by role, industry or company size
Weak at
- Freshness — a stored record cannot know someone changed jobs last month
- Verification — the record is as good as the day it was collected
- Transparency — refresh frequency is rarely disclosed
Pattern inference
The provider guesses the address from a company domain and a person's name, using common formats.
Strong at
- Cost — guessing is nearly free, so coverage looks very high
- Coverage — it can produce a candidate for almost anyone
Weak at
- Correctness — a plausible address is not a confirmed one
- Honesty of coverage figures — a guess counts as a result
- Bounces — unverified guesses are where they come from
Real-time resolution
The provider resolves and verifies at the moment you ask, opening an SMTP conversation with the receiving mail server rather than reading a previously collected result.
Strong at
- Currency — the answer reflects now, not a past crawl
- Precision — a result means a specific server accepted a specific address
- Honest failure — it can tell you it found nothing
Weak at
- Breadth — it only works on prospects you supply
- Discovery — there is nothing to search or browse
- Speed — it is slower than a database read
ReachNow is the third, combined with the second: it infers candidate addresses from the company domain, then verifies each one in real time and discards what fails. It has none of the first — no stored database, and no discovery.
ReachNow, specifically
What it does and does not do
The rows marked with a cross are the useful half of this table.
| Capability | ReachNow | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Verifies against the receiving mail server | Yes | Every candidate address, at the time you ask |
| Labels catch-all domains honestly | Yes | Reported as risky, never as confirmed |
| Shows rejected candidates | Yes | Returned alongside the accepted address |
| Charges only for results | Yes | A profile with no verified address is free |
| Bulk enrichment from CSV | Yes | Up to 100 rows per file |
| Scheduled runs | Yes | With a credit ceiling per run |
| No subscription | Yes | Prepaid packs from $6.90 |
| Searchable contact database | No | None. You supply the prospects |
| Prospect discovery and filtering | No | Not offered — this is not a discovery tool |
| Phone numbers | No | Business email only |
| Public API | No | None today |
| Native CRM integration | Partial | CSV layouts for Salesforce and HubSpot imports — not a live sync |
| Sending, sequences or cadences | No | Not offered — ReachNow produces data, it does not send |
Who should not buy this
ReachNow is the wrong tool if you need any of the following, and we would rather you knew before a trial than after one:
- Personal (non-business) email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Home or postal addresses
- A pre-built contact database to search or browse
- Native write-back into a CRM
The only evaluation that tells you anything
Ignore every accuracy figure, including any we might be tempted to publish. Run this instead, against every tool you are considering:
- Assemble fifty records where you already know the right answer — colleagues, existing customers, people you have successfully emailed before.
- Run them through each tool.
- Count how many came back correct, how many came back wrong, and how many came back as "no result".
- Look specifically at how each tool reported the ones it could not resolve. A tool that returns a confident guess instead of an honest blank is the one that will cost you.
- Check how each handles a catch-all domain. If it reports one as confirmed, its coverage figures are inflated.
ReachNow gives every new account 5 free credits with no payment method requested, specifically so you can run a test like this before spending anything. See how credits work.
